THE MARK
The last letter of the Hebrew alphabet — written in ancient script as a simple cross mark. The signature pressed into finished work to say: this came from me.
Near the end of his letter to the Galatians, Paul wrote:
“I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.”Real marks. On a real body. Not credentials of achievement — credentials of belonging.
That is what Tav means. The mark of belonging. Received, not earned.
The first word spoken in creation. Light does not change what it falls on. It shows you what was already there.
A mark that needs light to be seen.
Together — something already present, made visible.
That is what we named it.
The hope behind the name is not that we made something remarkable. It is that the name points to something that is — and that wearing it might, for some people, be a small reminder of that.
We build each chapter with that responsibility in mind.
